PARENTS AND THE BEGGING QUESTIONS AS SCHOOLS REMAIN CLOSED

Big Questions for us As Parents.

As the pandemic abates not and the government is reversing all previous decisions to reopen schools.

Even the finalist already scheduled  exams seems not going to be written in a long time to come.
What plan do we have as parents have ready for the children who had been at home the past four months or there about?

Parents are heroes of these young ones in many ways and heroes are expected to safe the day during precarious situations when it seems that all hopes seems lost.
Our children are at a cross road in life and many are already filled with bordomnes already. The temptation is getting highest by the day. They desire direction from us ans the earlier this comes the better.

Can we afford to leave them to their whims and carprice or to the many vices that are already alluring  ans appealing to their peers?
Turning to the government at this time is simply out of it as they themselves seem not to have any specific planned programme or agenda to implement to benefit the entire populace.
Watchout for an update on this; subscribe to our blog for more.

The Education of our children is at it were at a cross road, likened to the saying ,'multitudes in the valley of decision'. These decisions are BEGGING the choices to be made--We can't afford to dilly dally any longer; the  pandemic seems not going to recede soonest it seems even as we vehemently pray it does by God's grace.

So the big question is; what shall we then do?
Shall we leave the young ones to go out on their own
Should they.....
  • -Learn a trade and for how long ?
  • -Do house chores all day to keep them busy and out of arms way ?
  • Should we turn to Home Schooling them just as the Americans do even as this may be fallen to our system?
  • - leave them to Play all day long like no man cares and there is no tomorrow?
  • - We enrol them for  online lessons  most of which we have not been patronising hoping that schools shall open soon?
  • - Left to play games all day to keep them occupied yet stil not gainfully occupied ?
  • -Roam the street aimlessly as street urchins do trying to find they level in the scheme of things?
  • -Release them to fend for themselves by engaging  in menial jobs depending on what class of the society we may find ourselces?
  • -Be ready made tools in the hands of agents of darkness knowing fully well that rape cases and kidnapping had been on the increase of late?
  • -Be enrolled in Business  as apprentice
  •  Get them registered  in boot camps to sharpen some of their skills ICT skills?
  • -left to just read and learn at home all by themselves without any one to guide and instruct them ?
  • -Get them married (for those  already within the marriage bracket) as even the tertiary institutions are not spared? Even though that shouldn't be an option for now.
  • Or perhaps we just wait till schools resume fully when the government have fully  certified everything as being safe and okay?
  • -Should we leave them growing up as free thinkers without any scriptural teachings as churches and places of worship too are being kept closed (though we know that real church can not be shut only the structures and communal fellowships can )?

The choice is within our power and may the Lord direct how we go about what we do in order to help them have a greater and fulfilling future.

Teachers may not be there as it were for some months now, but we the parents and guardians are always with them. We have to start playing our expected roles  as circumstances in the now no longer permits us to outsource this responsibilities again.

Like someone already said, I don't see schools being opened for academics anytime soon; we should remember that  idle minds and hands they say qualifies for  the devils ready instrument.
We can't afford to let others determine the destiny of our children for us as no one is saddled with that more than the real parents.

May our own children not be victims nor tools for evil.
Let us make that choice earlier than imagined.
The choice made now would be a stitch in time which  would help to save nine.
The future is bright and that of our children is brightest. We are the asnwer to the many questions pending for solution.
